Create your account
Head to workboss.com/signup and enter your name, email address, and a password. You’ll receive a confirmation email — click the link to verify your account and you’re in.
Set up your company profile
Once logged in, you’ll land on the setup wizard. Here’s what to fill in:
- Company name — This appears on estimates, invoices, and customer-facing emails.
- Business address — Used for tax calculations and as your default “from” location for routing.
- Phone number — Shown on documents and the customer portal.
- Logo — Upload your company logo (PNG or JPG, at least 400×400px). This shows on all branded materials.
- Business hours — Set your standard operating hours so scheduling works correctly.
Configure your preferences
Navigate to Settings → Preferences to customize:
- Currency and tax rates — Set your local currency and default tax percentage.
- Estimate and invoice numbering — Choose a prefix (e.g., “EST-” or “INV-”) and starting number.
- Default payment terms — Net 15, Net 30, or due on receipt.
- Time zone — Ensures all scheduling and timestamps are accurate.
Add your services
Go to Settings → Services & Pricing to build your service catalog:
- Add each service you offer with a name, description, and default rate.
- Set pricing as hourly, flat-rate, or per-unit.
- Group services into categories for quick access when creating estimates and jobs.
